The Third Round Lakeville Small Business Emergency Grant Program is funded by City of Lakeville General Fund dollars and will award grant applications up to $400,000.
The grant application will be available on lakevillemn.gov from December 22-31, 2020. Eligible applications will be awarded a $5,000 grant.
Qualifying businesses will be awarded a city grant. Please refer to the Program Guidelines for complete qualifying eligibility criteria.
The Lakeville Community & Economic Development Department will notify applicants by email within 10 business days of the submittal of a complete application.
After all required documentation has been received and approved by city staff, the grant funds will be issued within 10 days.
Eligible applicants must have a physical business location within Lakeville city boundaries. Those with Lakeville addresses located outside city boundaries are considered ineligible.
No. Restaurants that were carry-out only (no dine-in seating) prior to March 1, 2020 and/or have a drive-thru window are not eligible for a grant, as per the Program Guidelines.
Yes, as long as your business is considered eligible under the Program Guidelines. Businesses, such as gyms, that were closed in response to MN Executive Order 20-99 are eligible to receive a grant, even if they were allowed to open at a reduced indoor capacity per MN Executive Order 20-103.
Yes. Lakeville businesses affected by MN Executive Order 20-99 are eligible to receive funds from the Lakeville Small Business Emergency Grant Program – Third Round, even if they have previously received grants from the City of Lakeville, Dakota County or the State of Minnesota.
Yes, but Lakeville Small Business Emergency Grant Program funds should be used to cover different expenses over and above specific uses of those federal funds.
A completed application form with all questions answered. No additional documentation is required with the application form. If your application is selected and verified, additional documentation will be requested via email.
A W-9, a completed Direct Deposit Form and a voided check/bank information will be needed to electronically transfer funds.
No. Any Lakeville business directly affected by MN Executive Order 20-99 is eligible to receive a grant, regardless of employee numbers.
