Please take a few moments to read through a series of new procedures as noted below for our participants that have recently been implemented. If you are participating in multiple programs, keep in mind that procedures may evolve based on current recommendations. The procedures outlined below cover the majority of the programs offered, however, specific policies may be outlined for some programs in a welcome letter you would receive prior to the start of the program.
There are situations in which face coverings are strongly encouraged but not required. Refer to COVID-19 Sports Guidance for Youth and Adults (PDF).

Parks are open and we hope you are able to get out and recreate responsibly. You must follow proper social distancing guidelines, including not crowding on courts or gathering at venues, and using hand sanitizer when appropriate. If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, stay home and do not use the park amenities. Refer to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for social distancing.
Orchard Lake and Antlers Park beaches are open to the public. Please abide by all social distancing guidelines to ensure we are able to keep this amenity open for our residents during the remainder of the summer. Drinking fountains are closed. The permanent restroom at Antlers Park has re-opened. Portable restrooms are available at Orchard Lake. Bring personal hand sanitizer and water.
For the safety of you and your guests, we ask that you adhere to the COVID-19 Outdoor Recreation, Facilities and Public Guidelines as outlined by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Minnesota Department of Health.
Currently playgrounds are open. Playgrounds are not sanitized - play at your own risk. Social distancing is required including maintaining a distance of 6 feet from anyone that does not live in your household and limiting the number of individuals playing at one time.
As we enter the summer months, the Mayor and City Council felt that easing some restrictions might allow park users, if they chose, to conduct a few open-air activities by taking personal responsibility for their well-being.
Portable restrooms will be placed in our parks with additional units and cleaning services at the high use parks. Permanent restrooms at the following parks have re-opened: Antlers, Aronson, King, Steve Michaud and Valley Lake.
We are currently registering for programs. Check back often as we are continually adding new offerings. In addition to in person programing, we offer at home kids and virtual classes. If you have a question about a program, contact us at 952-985-4600.

The City is monitoring the COVID-19 situation and if a program is canceled we will contact participants via email. Refunds will be issued via the original form of payment.
We request a minimum of 48 hours advance notice of cancelations whenever possible. We understand that times are uncertain right now and that it is hard to know how you will feel in future weeks as recommendations are continuously changing.
