The Communications Department keeps Lakeville connected.
We share timely, accurate information about everything happening in our city—from local government updates and public safety messages to parks and recreation programs, elections, road construction and community events.
Using a wide range of tools—including social media, newsletters, videos and the City website—we work to make information easy to find and simple to understand. Our goal is to provide transparency, strengthen engagement and help every resident feel informed, involved and proud to call Lakeville home.
You can request interpretive services for any of our meetings of the City Council and other advisory boards and commissions by calling 952-985-4407 and giving us a minimum of 24 hours notice.
UbiDuo 3
The City of Lakeville has now added a new device called the UbiDuo 3, wireless communication that enables people who are deaf and hard of hearing to communicate easily and effectively with staff and to interact instantly with each other face-to-face at any time and any place. The device does not require internet or WiFi. It can be used for planned meetings or for members of the public who walk in and need immediate assistance.
It can be used for face-to-face communication with individuals who:
Are deaf
Have had hearing and lost it (late deafened)
Are using a tracheotomy
Have expressive stuttering
Or with any individual with a communication barrier
